Rozio is a new scarf yarn from Knitting Fever. This scarf is knit from 1 ball on US size 6 needles, 6 stitches wide, and comes out 90" long. KFI does not provide a pattern - please ask if you need directions on how to work with the yarn.

I seldom crochet, think it has been maybe 20 yrs...Tried this scarf/shawlette out of Viking Odin. Not sure it is exactly like the pattern as think I have one too many motifs...but it works. Used Dill button 370174 as a closure. Shawlette come in child and adult sizes.

This is a modified version of my Amplitudes #20 pattern, worked in Noro Ayatori. A size 48" used 6 balls. Love, love this color & the feel of the yarn!

Instructions for this variation are now included in the Amplitudes #20 pattern.

This vest for my grandson was knit in Mirasol T'ika and includes the stars visible in Virginia during August.

Another pair of mitts knit in Noro Shiraito colorway 1. These were really warm wearing outside & taking a photo in 90* weather. Will be really nice to wear this winter while working on the computer!

Knit this for a store sample over a couple of nights while watching the Olympics. DooLallies is a new line of Christmas stocking kits from Elegant Heirlooms.

Another quick scarf, this one in Katia Ronda #207. This was supposed to be a muff, but mine came out a bit longer. The larger image shows the scarf wrapped twice around the neck.

A quick knit in 1 skein Katia Rocio #502. This is knit from the free pattern included with your Rocio yarn purchase.

Knit in Noro Shiraito colorway 4. This cashmere angora blend is incredibly soft!

This time, as a vest in Noro Ayatori colorways 4 and 12. Still need to figure out a closure.

Using Noro Wadaiko. The original design used a variegated yarn for the trim which I though looked too busy, so I use double strands of a worsted weight yarn that blended with the colors. Like it so much better than the photo in the book!

With some adjustments to make a larger size than pattern offers. I used 3 of Silk Garden Sock color #264 and 2 of #245.

Will need a button or something to close at bottom, as the way it hangs it wrinkles at the raglan armhole edge. When I blocked the sweater the front was not as long as the back so the shoulder seam is not on top of the shoulder. Not sure how to remedy this if I reknit, not sure affects the look any, and am hunchback so surprised that it hangs as well as it does.

Overall think the adjustments to make larger worked for me and think I will wear this a lot. Need to have other people who have a better body shape try on and see how it hangs. Was a fun knit.

Using 2 balls of Triana #44. Fun to knit; hard to photograph.

Nashua Isabella yarn has sat in the basket and has not really sold, so I made Larkspur as it looked like a nice little jacket to wear this spring. As it is a fitted jacket I was not sure how it would fit my not fit body, but I get compliments each time I wear it.

A couple of Saturdays ago several people were in the store and I showed them what I was working on, still had a sleeve to go and all three bought the yarn to make sweaters in the book that goes with the yarn. Too bad husband could not have told me the sweater was not hanging even when he took the picture. It does hang even.

These socks are made with Noro Silk Garden Sock Yarn, which is a bit heavier than other sock yarns. They were worked on a US size 3 needle. After going through the washer and dryer, the yarn softened a bit.

The last sweater off my needles is Lynden out of Juniper Moon Farm's Sabine. I really like the final weight of this sweater and think it will be great to tote around to wear in toooo cool air-conditioning. I really like the stitch definition in this design.

I did make a few changes. I wanted a cardigan pattern instead of a pullover. As I remember I knit it a bit tighter than they called for - I liked the yarn at a tighter gauge. I thought the sleeves were much too wide, so I recalculated the size of the sleeve. And while working off the stitches for the raglan shaping, I knit to a higher neck. I think this sweater is going to get a lot of wear and become my new favorite!

When Nadeshiko came in earlier this year, a ball was wound and on the needles that night! Decided to do this pattern from Noro Now! It is quite heavy and is a great sweater to wear as a jacket in our mild winter. It knit quickly, in about a week. The only change I made was to knit the cable design in both the back and the front. Since we live in an early 1800 house that is really drafty and hard to heat, this is a comfy sweater to sit and knit in....If it was not so expensive I think I would make sweatpants!

When this yarn came in, I kept trying to come up with a new design and had several things about 1/4 knit and it was just not working/or looking like I knew it could, so I went back to one of my favorite designs and really like the final result...had to change the gauge a bit in the pattern, but this design is knit to measurements to easy to do.

I always wanted a felted vest as it seems to be very windy here in the spring, and sometimes too cool to work outside. I have a pattern in stock that I like, so decided to try it out with the new Noro Hitsuji yarn. I like the way the yarn came out, however there were lots of red flags in the pattern that I ignored, like a crazy person. So while I have a felted vest, the fit and comfort for using while gardening leaves a lot to be desired...need to pay attention to red flags!!

knit in new Euro Yarns Flourish

My Ohio friend Mechele was working on Wingspan (available on Ravelry) when they came down for a visit. I thought it would be fun to make out of Fame Trend.

Knit in 11 balls Noro Odori #4 with unikite natural stone buttons.  This was an exercise in "wonder what if I did it this way."

The sweater was made in two pieces, starting at the cuff and working to center of garment, then grafted together. It worked but does not give the best fit so will probably not write a pattern for this design; it would be better made a different way. But at least it shows this beautiful bulky yarn made into a warm jacket.

This pattern is written for Alafoss & Lett Lopi. I knit it with 5 Alafoss Lopi #9972, 3 Noro Hitsuji #6 and 2 Noro Hitsuji #4.

Was sorting colors and this came to me in a dream. It's made of 6 shades of Araucania Milodon. The body is 1" squares; the sleeves are striped.

I liked working with this yarn. Normally I am not overly fond of random dyed yarn because of the pooling, but I really liked the hat and mitts I made earlier, and do like the sweater!

This is a slimmed down version, as the smallest size in the pattern was finished at 47".

Hat takes one ball of Katia Inca and the pattern is available free with a yarn purchase. With the Aloha neck garter, you wear the skein...nothing to do!

I started to make a sweater in Nadeshiko and this colorway was just not being what I wanted it to be, so decided on mittens and ear warmers. The yarn is 40% angora, 39% wool and 21% silk in a chunky weight. 1 ball of yarn will make both items.

I just finished knitting this out of Noro Silk Garden Sock Yarn, love the way it came out. From Knit Noro with modifications to ribbing, neck, gauge and changed from drop sleeve to raglan sleeve.
